So Much McFun!

I am blessed to have a job that allows me to work 4 days a week, most of the time I am off on Fridays, but this week my day off was switched to Wednesday. My good friend, Beth is also off on Wednesdays. We have been attempting to get our kiddos together for some play time for a loooonnnggg time, and being off today gave us the perfect opportunity to do that.

We met at McDonalds (or Donalds according to Addie) for a gourmet lunch of chicken nuggets, sprite (only when we go out to eat), and french fries. It was hard for Addie to concentrate on eating with that gigantic playplace staring at her, but all in all she ate 6 (yes 6) chicken mcnuggets (she has NEVER ate that much...EVER!)!

The best part of the day was when Lawson got scared to come down the slide, and my friend Beth had to crawl up to get him out! Unfortunately, I thought that she would choke me if I captured this moment on camera, but I did get some other adorable shots!

Error

I just posted 2 posts entitled "Summer Turns 2" & "Take Me Out To The Ballgame". Unfortunately, there was an error while posting and there is an excess amount of space between the two posts. Please scroll down after reading the post "Summer Turns 2" to read the other post. As always, thanks so much for reading our blog, feel free to leave a comment, even if you are reading and you don't know our family personally! God Bless!

Summer Turns 2!!

On Saturday, Addison's friend Summer celebrated her second birthday! Our entire family was blessed to be invited to the celebration at Summer's house. We were warmly welcomed by all of Summer's grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends.

After lunch we rinsed off the food with a run through the sprinkler and had some fun in Summer's new wagon! Thanks Lynn family! We had a blast seeing you & we can't wait for the arrival of a new little Lynn in the next month or so!

Take Me Out To The Ballgame

One of the benefits to working at Smile Starters now includes a night with the Asheville Tourists! We were recently blessed with the tickets for a Saturday night game! We all had a great time & Addison sat through 6 innings while eating pizza & peanuts!

We left early because the tourists were down 10 - 0, and we had church the next morning. We had a great time while it lasted & look forward to getting the tickets again next year. Dr. Raf, if you're reading....THANKS A BUNCH! WE HAD A BLAST!!

Fun In the Pool

It seems that every Saturday we wake to the lovely sounds of Addison screaming "pool" "pool". In the winter we go to the Waynesville Rec. center and now that it is warm we can pull out our own little blue pool & her new sprinkler (which she calls ball pool). Today Ellie also got in on the action of the pool (okay...she thought that it was a huge dog bowl, but oh well) not to worry after the fun in the pool Addison was rushed in for a nice warm bath!

Attack of the Ducks!

After dinner tonight we decided to take a drive to Lake Junaluska to feed the ducks (or duk-duks) as Addie calls them. Apparently, due to the bad economy the ducks have not been fed as much lately. As soon as we parked, the ducks started "mingling" up toward us, and when began to open the bag of old stale bread it was on....we were even scared for our safety. Suddenly, at least 40 ducks were right under our feet...some were even venturing under our car. There were also about 10 geese that began hissing at us if we didn't feed them fast enough.

We then tried to get smart by only throwing the chunks of bread into the lake or far away from us in fear that we were all going to be pecked to death. Those darn ducks just wouldn't fall for it, they continued to inch closer and closer to us!

I then taught Addison my famous "duck dance" that I learned in elementary school, but that didn't scare them off either (funny, that always worked to scare off ducks when I did it years ago). All in all, we had a great time and didn't get pecked at all!
