Positive!

Two weeks ago our family was surprised with a POSITIVE pregnancy test! Since this was a total surprise, we went to the doctor the very next day to confirm this news.

And the doctor confirmed, I was soon to be 6 weeks pregnant!

We are calling this our little miracle, since we were doing everything to prevent this from happening, but God knows what he is doing and we are ecstatic!!

Other than some mild morning sickness and the general pregnant feeling of being tired all of the time, I am doing great!

Here are some prayer requests:

1. Please pray that God will show us where we need to live after the baby is born, we love our little house, but it is only 2 bedrooms and Addie is getting crammed!

2. Please pray that we can find someone to watch the new addition while I work, it is not feasible for one of us to stay home and we both enjoy our jobs. I really don't want to place the new addition in daycare at such a young age, but will if it becomes necessary.

3. Please pray for a better job for hubs, he loves his job, but it is becoming more and more physically demanding on him.

4. Please pray for a healthy baby, pregnancy and delivery. Please also pray for Addison as she adjusts from life as an only child.

Thanks for everyone's support!

The Bird Feeder

I know that I've mentioned for the millionth time that I just adore Addison's pre school. Seriously, they are GREAT!! She was SO excited to come home on Tuesday and hang her new bird feeder, beside the bird house that she made at pre - school this past summer. She was so cute, that I had to document her excitement!!

Labor Day Fireworks!

Normally, labor day weekends are spent in Clemson, SC, but since our tigers were playing Troy ( yeah, I don't know who they are) we decided to have a stay-cation this year.

Luckily, our town was having a free fireworks show on Sunday evening, so we went!

We arrived a little early (okay an hour and a half early) to get the "right spot". Should I mention that before arriving we had a not so great meal at Subway and we gave our child coke to drink...
(Gasp all you want) So, needless to say she was bouncing off of the walls and there was nothing for her to do except sit and play her Leapster.... so we walked across the street to Jelly Belly and bought her a ginormous colorful sucker....

yeah, so she could have more sugar and bounce around and make silly faces....

The fireworks finally began and they were gorgeous! We had a great time, we even sang songs at the top of our lungs and have our "firework neighbors" give us strange looks.

Family Memories!

Tip Tap Tippity Tap

Addison's third season of dance is upon us! I know, I'm shocked that this is her third season as well, it just seems like yesterday that we entered our first dance session.

Addison has matured into such a graceful little dancer!! She has surpassed pre - dance and she is now taking a 45 minute tap / ballet class. Watching Addison dance is one of the best things ever! I rarely miss a class!

A beautiful ribbon dance!

And the tapping begins! This is her favorite part!

My New Nephew!

This post is a little delayed, but on May 31 our family expanded to welcome Camden Walker into our lives!

Isn't he gorgeous?!?

And cousin Addison is pretty crazy about him too!

Happy 4th of July!

We celebrated our fourth of July last night in our little hometown. At our local fairgrounds their was a carnival set up along with free entertainment and fireworks. What we didn't anticipate for was the crowds, it was A LOT more crowded than we ever thought that it would be. So crowded that it raveled my nerves a little bit. Super crowded environments make me place my 4 year old in a baby carrier and carry her around, but I suppose that she's too old to do that...

Seeing that she is now tall enough to ride the swings by herself....she was so excited!! She has been patiently wanting to ride the swings at every amusement park that we have been to, but now she is tall enough!

And she's also tall enough to ride the miniature pirate ship! I know that she doesn't look that excited, but I promise that she was!

Right before the fireworks we met up with sweet Meli from my Sunday School class, Meli was really excited to ride the caterpillar with Addison!

And at last, we craned our necks to see the beautiful fireworks. Addison was a little scared at first, but calmed down after she saw the beautiful colors.

Happy 4th of July everyone!

S'mores!

It donned on me the other day that my child has not ever had a s'more! So, I decided that we needed to change that. Then it occurred to me that we do not have a fire pit and we don't ever go camping.

Dad to the rescue!!

He suggested that we use our char coal grill, and it worked!!

Addie on the other hand, only liked placing the marshmellow into the fire and allowing it to ignite, causing her mother to have a heart attack and to run over at the speed of lightning to extinguish the charred marshmellow. And of course, the same thing happened when I snapped this picture.

Oh and please excuse hubs' ridiculous outfit, we had just returned from the track ( we'll save that for another post) and please also excuse our Virgina Tech chairs, we are truly Clemson fans, but I bought those on sale last year at K-Mart and hubs is really really embarrassed to sit in them!

Happy Summer!

We are having a great summer so far!! For Christmas, my parents gave all 3 of us season passes to Dollywood and Dollywood Splash Country, and I'm a little embarrassed to say that we've went almost every weekend. Hubs' work schedule was re - arranged so that he only works until 11 or 12 on Friday's so, a lot of times we pack up and get out of town by 12:30 on Friday afternoons, returning later that evening from an afternoon of swimming and fun!

I just have to say that I am loving Addison being 4! She is so brave at Splash Country, she is now tall enough to go down the big slides and she loves every one of them! On some of the slides all 3 of us can race down ( don't tell her that we let her win)!

Another great thing about the park is the larger pool that we relax in after we are so hot from standing in lines all day long!

And by the way, Addison is a swimming pro! We enrolled her in swimming lessons this summer. Each Monday evening we grace our local fitness center for a 30 minute lesson and we have seen such an improvement!

Hope everyone else is having a great summer as well!

A visit with To - to

To -to telling the Bible story

My sweet little girl calls her Aunt Christal "To-to", we don't know why she has always done this, but Christal loves it and now the nick name is stuck!

Anyway, last weekend Addie and I went to visit Uncle Sean, To - to, and Cooper! We had so much fun! To - to works at their church with the children's ministries, and they had a huge Easter Egg hung complete with parachute games, face painting and a small petting zoo.

Enjoy our pictures!

Waiting on the egg hunt!

Wedding Bells!

A couple of weeks ago, we were blessed to witness the marriage of my mother - in - law and her new husband, Jim. Spunky's father passed away almost 7 years ago, and we have been praying that my mother - in - law would find someone to make her happy again. Well, she found that in Jim. Jim is a great guy and we wish them many years of happiness.

A certain someone was also in her first wedding! She was a little shy and would not walk down the aisle without her cousin, Anna. I thought that she looked beautiful!

Super Bowl

Tonight was GREAT! It was a night filled with great friends, great food and a lot of laughter. Our friends Aaron & Rachel invited us over to their annual Super Bowl party, which was great, but it was exactly what I have needed.

I love hanging out with our group of friends, they are all so supportive of hubs, Addie and I and I always feel so lifted up and encouraged after we all get together.

Not to mention, that usually Addison is the only kid - o, (Jeremiah counts, but he's not toddeling yet) and Rachel always always goes out of her way to make sure that Addison is always welcomed. Right when we arrived, Rachel already had a stack of fun toys for Addison--ready to play with. This is such a huge relief for a mama!

Anyway, Aaron and Rachel, we had an absolute blast tonight and thanks for having our little family of 3 over!

New Opportunity!

Yes, I know that it's been awhile since I have posted....there are reasons for that. But for now, I'm not getting into that.

Just wanted to drop a line and let everyone know that I am now a Pampered Chef consultant! Yay! I am really nervous about this, but I have been praying about this since mid summer.

Please consider me for all of your Pampered chef needs or to schedule a party. To place an order, you can email me at keisha.goodman@rocketmail.com, facebook me, or simply leave a comment!

Thanks!

Until Next Time....
